Meet the founder, Toby Chaffin

Toby Chaffin is President and CEO of PBG, Inc. a Performance Management consulting group, whose mission is to assist organizations in maximizing performance and productivity.

Prior to founding PBG, Mr. Chaffin was Vice President of Human Resources for CMI Industries, Inc. Before joining CMI, Toby served as Vice President of Business and Industry Relations and Vice President of Human Resources for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

Toby is a past president of the Society for Human Resource Management’s Columbia, South Carolina chapter. He has served on the South Carolina Department of Labor’s Labor Relations Advisory Committee, the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission’s Administrative Advisory Committee, and the Governor’s Child Support Advisory Committee. He has been a member of both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Textile Manufacturers Institute human resources committees.

A graduate of Campbell University and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organization Management at the University of Georgia, Toby began his career with Milliken & Company where he served in numerous plant, business and corporate level positions.

After leaving Milliken, Mr. Chaffin worked as a management consultant specializing in productivity improvement and organizational development. During this time, he worked with many large national and international

Toby served in the United States Army where he was airborne infantry platoon leader and Special Forces “A Team” Leader. He is a decorated Vietnam Veteran.
